The word ‘pea’ does not define the purpose and acceptance
The buyer has requested peas, but has not yet specified whether they need whole product, split peas, raw material for processing or fodder use.
Without this, the seller may offer indicators that correspond to a different purpose.
The Codex Standard CXS 171 covers certain legumes for direct human consumption; it has exceptions for industrial processing and fodder purposes.
It cannot be automatically turned into a universal export specification.
The current requirements of the country and contract terms are checked separately.

The scope of support will be agreed before starting the work.
First, agree on the identity of the product
Record the type, form, intended use, processing and packaging.
Then ask the buyer to name the acceptance indicators and methods for determining them.
The manufacturer confirms which characteristics it can provide and with what data this is confirmed.
For moisture, impurities and other agreed indicators, units, method, sampling procedure and rule for comparing the result with the condition are needed.
The wording ‘export quality’ does not explain any of these elements.
There are no numerical standards here: they depend on the applicable requirements and the agreed specification.
Request to the buyer before calculation
This is a working agreement checklist, not an official application.

Link the answer to the proposal edition and the specific product.
The test report for the previous batch does not become a characteristic of the new one without verification.
Agree on the role of the sample
A training example: the buyer approved the appearance of the sample but did not conduct a check using their own technology.
This only confirms the agreed scope of assessment.
Do not record such a message as approval of all indicators for future deliveries.
If the supplier’s and buyer’s results differ, compare the batch identifier, sample, method and units.
The further procedure is determined by the parties’ agreement and applicable requirements; the coordinator does not choose a convenient test report.
Issue a proposal with closed initial questions
Before pricing, the manager must see the product’s purpose, agreed specification and remaining conditions.
The possibility of supplying goods from this manufacturer to the selected country is checked separately: the specification does not confirm it on its own.
For a detailed structure of indicators, use grain batch quality agreement.
The difference in this analysis is to first define the pea product and its purpose, and only then select suitable indicators and sources.
