Identify the product and participants first
A claim that a supplier “works with China” does not establish suitability for your transaction. Record the product, processing, food or feed use, producer, processor, storage facility, seller and exporter. Distinguish the legal entity from the actual facility.
Do not automatically apply one requirement list to peas, barley and sugar beet pulp. A different intended use can change the applicable procedure even for similar products.
What to request from the supplier
- Company details, establishment identifiers and facility address.
- Precise product description, quality specification and batch information.
- Available declarations and test reports, with scope, dates and connection to the product.
- Registration numbers and links to records, rather than a screenshot or an intermediary’s assurance alone.
- Growing, processing and storage information where needed for the product review.
- A document contact and a plan to resolve missing information before shipment.
This starts the review; it is not the legally required document list for every product.
How to review registration information
In public Cerberus records, compare the entity, facility, activity, product, destination and displayed status. Record the link and check date. Then establish which Chinese registration procedure and list apply to the product and the establishment’s role.
The official GACC service lists Order 280 for overseas food establishments, effective from 1 June 2026. Do not automatically apply that procedure to every feed product. A Russian registry entry alone does not establish compliance with all Chinese requirements.
Which questions remain unresolved
A different address, a record for another product, unclear status, unidentified storage facility or a document that cannot be linked to the goods needs clarification before a commercial decision.
Use these fields: requirement; official source; evidence received; discrepancy; owner; deadline. The client retains the purchasing decision. Questions about applicability go to the competent authority and relevant specialists.
Where coordination helps
Yana can organise information collection, comparison and communication between purchasing, the supplier, logistics and the buyer. The output is a record of verified information, gaps and next actions, not a guarantee of market access or customs release.
Next, assemble the transaction document pack. Review payment terms separately with the contract and invoice checklist.
Checked on 22 October 2026. Recheck current requirements for the product, intended use and facility before each transaction. This guide does not certify a supplier.
